Benee

Stella Bennett (born 2000), known professionally as Benee (/ˈbɛniː/, stylised BENEE, formerly spelt Bene) is a New Zealand musician from Grey Lynn in Auckland.
BENEE began her music career by posting covers to SoundCloud, and began making her own music in her final year of high school. After dropping out of a communications degree at the Auckland University of Technology after two weeks, during what she called “a quarter-life crisis”, she decided to enter the music business professionally. Her music caught the attention of Josh Fountain, a producer and member of the band Leisure, with whom she produced two singles: “Tough Guy”, released in 2017 and “Soaked”, released in 2018.
Her debut EP, Fire on Marzz, was released on 28th June 2019. STELLA & STEVE, her second EP was released on 15th November 2019.

BENEE começou sua carreira musical publicando covers no SoundCloud, para depois fazer sua própria música, já em seu último ano do ensino médio. Depois de abandonar o curso de comunicação na Universidade de Tecnologia de Auckland depois de duas semanas, durante o que chamou de “crise de um quarto de vida”, ela decidiu ingressar profissionalmente no negócio da música.
Sua música chamou a atenção de Josh Fountain, produtor e membro da banda Leisure, com quem produziu dois singles: “Tough Guy”, lançado em 2017 e “Soaked”, lançado em 2018.
Seu EP de estreia, Fire on Marzz, foi lançado em 28 de junho de 2019. STELLA & STEVE, seu segundo EP, foi lançado em 15 de novembro de 2019.
